RESUMO

This study aims to determine whether including yoga and mindfulness exercises in injury rehabilitation regimens for British runners can be beneficial. Since injuries are prevalent among runners and can influence physical and mental health, it is critical to investigate alternatives to standard recovery. The research measures the effectiveness of yoga and its mindfulness in injury rehabilitation among british runners. A mixed-methods approach was used, which included both a quantitive study of participant experiences and a quantitative investigation of injury therapeutic rates. British runners receiving normal rehabilitation were placed in a control group and an experimental group that received yoga and mindfulness interventions. Overall, the research study measured the smart PLS Algorithm model and created informative results, including descriptive statistics and correlation coefficients that present the smart PLS Algorithm model between them. Over the course of six months, information on pain thresholds, range of motion, psychological health, and injury medicinal rates was gathered. Quantitative data analysis also investigated how the participants perceived the intervention. According to preliminary research, integrating yoga and mindfulness techniques may help British runners heal from injuries more quickly, feel less pain, be more flexible, and generally feel better. More investigation is necessary to verify these results and clarify underlying mechanisms using bigger sample sizes and longer follow-up times. The overall result found that there is a direct and significant link between the effectiveness of yoga and mindfulness in injury rehabilitation among British runners. However, this study emphasises how alternative therapies like yoga and mindfulness may help runners get the best possible results from their injury rehabilitation. (AU)

RESUMO

The aim of research is determined that impact of urbanization on the physical activity related to the Brazilian youth. Brazil's population's surroundings and way of life have seen tremendous changes as a result of urbanisation, with young people's habits of physical activity being most affected. An overview of the main effects of urbanisation on young Brazilians' physical activity is given in this research. The built environment has changed due to rapid urbanisation, which has an impact on the availability of areas that are good for physical exercise. For measuring the research used SPSS software and generate informative result included correlation coefficient, model summary, regression analysis, also that chi square analysis between them. A more sedentary lifestyle is a result of shifting social and cultural standards, as well as an increased reliance on motorised transportation. Socioeconomic differences exacerbate health-related issues by affecting resources for physical exercise. Comprehensive approaches that include community involvement, public health programmes, and urban planning are required to solvethese issues. Urbanisation can have a negative impact on Brazilian youth physical activity levels, but it can be lessened by prioritising the establishment of safe and accessible areas, encouraging active transportation, and putting inclusive policies into place. A comprehensive strategy is essential for the youth of Brazil's changing urban context to have a healthy and active future (AU)

RESUMO

Aside from statutory requirements, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) hardly take into consideration reliable accounting systems. Therefore, poor and ineffective bookkeeping has contributed to the collapse of some SMEs. This paper examines the intervening role of owners' accounting skills in the relationship between bookkeeping practices and the performance of SMEs in the Ho Municipal Assembly of Ghana using a sample of 296 SMEs. In a structural equation modelling (SEM) framework, the Smart Partial Least Squares (Smart-PLS) software is employed to analyse the relationships between owners' accounting skills, bookkeeping practices, and the performance of SMEs. We find that bookkeeping practices and owners' accounting skills have significant positive effects on the performance of SMEs. Most importantly, we show the existence of a significant indirect relationship between bookkeeping practices and SME performance such that owners' accounting skills positively intervenes the relationship between bookkeeping practices and SME performance. Thus, in the presence of higher owners' accounting skills, the relationship between bookkeeping and the performance of SMEs is strengthened further. In a typical emerging economy context, while appropriate regulatory bodies, such as the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), in the Ghanaian context, and local revenue collection authorities could put forth measures like periodic compliance audits to ensure that registered SMEs are managed by skilled personnel, fostering them to meet basic requirements for keeping records and managing their accounts to improve their performance, it is worth acknowledging that the onus lies on SME managers to recognise the relevance of good recordkeeping and account management practices to ensure sustained business performance.

RESUMO

The primary objective of this research study is to ascertain the connection between top athletes' motivation and athletic burnout. This study uses particular questions about the variables as main data analysis for this aim. Athletic burnout is a mediator between motivation, the key independent variable, and this relationship. Elite athletes are the major dependent variable for assessing the research study with smart PLS software and producing data about them. The significant analysis between independent and dependent variables, the descriptive statistic analysis, the correlation analysis, the co-linearity statistic analysis, etc. In an athlete's career, motivation initially plays a beneficial role by encouraging them to set objectives, train assiduously, and pursue greatness. However, an athlete may be at a higher risk of burnout if they become overly fixated on receiving accolades or validation from other sources, such as winning championships or making money. This is especially true for elite athletes who frequently experience tremendous pressure to perform at a high level. The overall research study found that there is a positive relationship between motivation and athletic burnout among elite athletes.(AU)

RESUMO

E-ticketing as a self-service technology has become very popular in tourism, especially in the airline industry. But, the e-ticketing adoption behavior of heritage visitors received very little attention from tourism researchers, especially in developing countries. This research applied the technology acceptance model and theory of planned behavior to investigate heritage visitors' self-service e-ticketing adoption behavior. This research used primary data collected from visitors at five heritage sites in Bangladesh. The PLS-based structural equation modeling technique was applied to test the structural model. This research has found that ease of use and subjective norm have significant positive associations with attitude and intention to use e-ticketing. But, privacy concern has a significant negative association with attitude and e-ticketing intention. Perceived usefulness has a significant positive association with attitude but not e-ticketing intention. Attitude plays an important role in e-ticketing adoption behavior by moderating the relationships between e-ticketing intention and other constructs (ease of use, subjective norm, and privacy concern). This research provides valuable insights into visitors' technology adoption behavior for the academics and authorities of heritage sites in developing countries. This paper has discussed the theoretical and practical implications.

RESUMO

It is devastating to people's mental and emotional health to be exposed to the COVID-19 pandemic and the multifaceted response strategies are required to curb it. As a result of social distancing and self-isolation, people have faced many challenges in their lives. The suffering is even greater at the workplace where the employees are working with the fear of getting exposed to the virus and its new variants which is adversely affecting their wellbeing. This study explores and tests a model that extends the wellbeing research across organizational settings and targets the crucial factors that lead to job performance improvement even in the post pandemic COVID-19 situation. To improve both in-role performance and extra-role performance behaviors in the Pakistan banking sector, organizational virtue (also known as organizational virtuousness) and internal virtue (also known as emotional intelligence) are examined. Data were collected from the 416 bank employees using disproportionate stratified sampling technique. In the bank sector of Pakistan, wellbeing was identified as the key psychological factor that relates the in-role performance and extra-role performance to internal and organizational factors. Research findings also determined that conceptualizing subjective wellbeing in the context of work is more meaningful in understanding its relationship with the workplace variables than the general or global subjective wellbeing.

RESUMO

This study aims to evaluate the environmental performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through green human resource management (GHRM), green transformational leadership (GTFL), and green innovation (GI). This study is based on resource-based view theory and ability-motivation-opportunity theory. We collected data from 315 manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises using a survey questionnaire. We applied structural equation modeling using Smart partial least squares to analyze the collected data. Results of the study indicate that green ability and green motivation have a significant impact on environmental performance and green innovation mediates the relationship between GHRM practices and environmental performance. Findings also revealed that green transformational leadership's moderation strengthens the relationship between green ability and green innovation, but surprisingly weakens the relationship between green motivation, green opportunity, and green innovation. The paper provides a valuable understanding and novel approach for directors of SMEs in developing countries to improve their environmental performance through GHRM and green innovation.

RESUMO

Ride-sharing services are a sustainable form of the transportation system that needs to be popularized among students by examining the crucial factors that determine the students' behavior to use the innovative service. Therefore, this paper attempts to explore students' behavior regarding the use of ride-sharing services by extending the "Technology Acceptance Model." The expanded model includes the current TAM structures and integrates contextual stimuli that may or may not affect the ride-sharing service's behavior. Moreover, the study focuses on determining the moderating role of perceived risk between the proposed relationships. The paper uses PLS-SEM to analyze the research model and determine the results of the hypotheses. The findings of this research are useful for ride-sharing service providers and policymakers who can promote the services among students by reducing the perceived risks and promoting the environmental benefits of ride-sharing. Furthermore, the limitations of this paper pose future research directions.

RESUMO

COVID-19 has affected millions of people around the globe. People's mental health, especially those of nurses, has been primarily affected by the fear of this virus. More focus has been paid to vaccination and treatment of the virus, but less attestation has been given to addressing the mental health of people affected by the virus. Empirical studies show that different external factors are not easily manageable and controllable by the individual. This study preliminarily explores the connection between fear of COVID-19 and secondary traumatic stress in nurses. Further, it examines the moderating effects of occupational self-efficacy on the relationship between fear of COVID-19 and secondary traumatic stress. Data for the study was collected from the nurses of six large hospitals in Karachi, Pakistan. The final analysis was performed on 243 samples. Studies on COVID-19 suggest that increased occupational self-efficacy decreases fear and its impact. This study offers insights for managers to develop stress management programs and provide proper training and counseling sessions to the nurses to motivate them emotionally. Theoretically, this study broadens the understanding of the theory of emotions by using the pandemic as a stressor. Future studies may explore different roles of occupational self-efficacy and study its influential role in managing different kinds of emotions explained by the theory of emotions. Managers at the workplace could design different self-efficacy training for nurses to increase their self-motivation to fight different types of stress they face at the workplace.
